A few years back, I had the opportunity to go on safari in Africa. One of the lodges that I stayed at worked with a non-profit called Pack for a Purpose. After looking into them, I realized how uniquely amazing they were. Their premise is simple–use a small portion of your luggage space to bring much-needed supplies to a community in Africa. Most often, it’s school supplies for elementary schools. And once you reached your lodge or hotel, you had the choice to either give the supplies to the front desk or take them to the community location yourself.
In my case, I chose to bring an entire duffle filled with donations–pencils, deflated soccer balls, sports jerseys, art supplies, flashcards–to the school itself. I’ve never seen more grateful teachers. They were absolutely elated. Still, we wanted to do more. So we created a print ad that Pack for a Purpose that captured the magic that this non-profit makes happen.
